Bandai was born in Japan in 1947 by Naoharu Yamashina, who at that time worked in the family business, engaged in textile production. As the sector went through low hours, Naoharu decided to diversify the business and bet on the growth of the toy sector. And he was right. Naoharu started by creating a subdivision within the parent company dedicated to toy manufacturing and distribution.
